KayOne - Big Bang!KayOne’s Solo Exhibition 19 February – 8 March
Private View Thursday 21 February 06.30pm – 08.30pm

KayOne reinterprets the Big Bang, the Universe originated by a Big Explosion which has transformed energy into matter in an utterly chaotic way. The artist, in his works gives back the right balance to the compositional elements being inspired by the equivalence between energy and matter expres- sed in the equation E=mc2. In the equation “E” represents the energy sprang from the magic of colors perfectly balanced, “m” the mass largely present on the artist’s canvases through big quantities of media and “c” the speed of light represented through the white flare which has always been the lei- tmotiv of KayOne’s works. The Universe we know of is not the only existing one, the artist interprets millions of them through his innovative action painting, pushing his gaze beyond the impassable space limits thus taking us into new worlds, beyond the cosmic horizon.

One of the very first Italian Graffiti writers, KayOne, born in 1972 has started painting in the streets in 1988 at 15. A pioneer in Milan where Graffitis showed up only on recycled American tv series and when it took trends up to five years to cross the ocean. KayOne spends most of his time working as an Art Director painting canvases and walls both in Italy and abroad. Many have been his recent successful exhibitions: Museo della Triennale, the 54th Biennale of Venice and the Pirelli Building.
